Hola!I didn't do very well posting last semester. Anyway...
What do you need to do to improve your Spanish? Read the following list.
1) Dedicate a portion of time to it everyday. Without this, you will not have much success.
2) Find a study partner or two, so you can hold each other accountable and help each other figure out what you are doing.
3) Engage someone who is a Spanish speaker who you might feel comfortable with and try out your lingo on them.
4) Go where the people are! Find out where Spanish-speaking people are and just be around them for a while - at a church, a store, a cafe... wherever! They will be glad to welcome you when they see you are interested.
5) Look at some of the resources I have given on this blog. On the right side somewhere, there is a menu of learning tools. You will need internet access for most of it. Harness the power of the web to improve your Spanish.
6) Read every blog post here from the beginning! It is loaded with ideas.
7) Don't forget youtube!
8) Eat a little humble pie. Remember that you are not in control... It is hard, but that is the reality of learning a foreign language. You have to become extremely tolerant of ambiguity, and that is not fun. However, once you come to terms with that ugly thought, you will be in the correct frame of mind to make humble forward steps toward a new understanding of the world.
You can do it! Many others have. What make them different than you? Nothing. They just did it. So, go for it. And keep in touch!
Que Dios te bendiga!!!
